About the position

ThermoAnalytics, Inc. (TAI), a leading provider of thermal and infrared simulation software and services, is seeking a strategically-focused Director of Marketing to join our Sales and Marketing team in either Novi, Michigan or Calumet, Michigan. This full-time role offers a flexible start date, ideally between October and December 2024. While the position is primarily in-office, we are open to considering hybrid remote arrangements for those in close proximity to Novi or Calumet. As a leader in this role, you'll drive and oversee strategic marketing initiatives, ensuring the development and execution of effective plans. Your forward-thinking leadership will be crucial in elevating brand presence, generating leads, and enhancing customer engagement. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with the executive team to align marketing strategies with the company's overall business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Strategic Marketing Initiatives
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on brand positioning, market penetration, and customer acquisition.
  • Strengthen and manage the brand, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
  • Oversee digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content strategy.
  • Develop and implement go-to-market strategies for new product launches and features, including messaging and sales enablement tools.
  • Design and implement campaigns to attract and convert high-quality leads.
  • Direct the creation of content that supports lead generation and thought leadership.
  • Conduct research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team while fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Develop/manage the marketing budget to ensure effective resource allocation and maximum ROI.
  • Identify and support strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and industry events to enhance market presence and generate business opportunities.
  • Establish KPIs for marketing activities, provide performance reports, and use data-driven insights to optimize strategies.
  • Work with product management and engineering teams to align marketing strategies with product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Engineering; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a technology or software company.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies that drive business growth.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics tools.
  • Experience with product marketing, particularly in launching and positioning software products.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
