About the position

The Director of Marketing at Well Done Marketing is responsible for leading the marketing department, focusing on training and coaching team members to effectively leverage multiple marketing channels. This role involves managing marketing strategies and execution for various accounts, ensuring that marketing plans meet and exceed industry benchmarks while providing valuable insights and support to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Create marketing plans that incorporate multiple marketing channels to achieve clients' marketing goals.
  • Coach the marketing team by providing regular communication, support, and actionable feedback.
  • Provide quality assurance for marketing team members through regular review of planning and execution work.
  • Develop and contribute to marketing strategies and implementation plans for key clients.
  • Educate the agency about marketing and website best practices through training and resource sharing.
  • Maintain the agency's Google Partner status and manage relationships with platform partners.
  • Advise the agency and clients on industry and platform trends for growth and evolution.
  • Support team members in providing data and analytics to clients and advocate for data-driven decision making.
  • Manage the day-to-day functioning of the marketing team, including one-on-ones and development plans.
  • Refine agency processes and practices based on team and client feedback.
  • Assist the VP of Marketing with agency, client, and team assignments and overall planning.
  • Serve on the Directors team to assist with agency growth and identify new opportunities.
  • Work with the President and VP of Marketing to grow the agency's book of business and attend prospect meetings.
  • Research audience behaviors, keywords, and digital platform content for proposals and marketing plans.

Requirements

  • 5- to 8-years' marketing experience required, agency experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading a team.
  • Experience in media buying, especially a blend of digital and traditional media is preferred.
  • Strong research, data analysis, and communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively.
  • Proficiency with budget and time management.
  • Proficient with Google Ads, Analytics, and advanced Google search tactics.
  • Experience with Moz, SEMrush, SharedCount, Screaming Frog, and other web-based tools.
  • Experience with organic and paid campaigns and analytics for social media platforms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in media buying, especially a blend of digital and traditional media.
  • Agency experience preferred.
