About the position

The Director of Marketing at McDermott Will & Emery is responsible for leading the revenue marketing efforts across all practice groups and industries. This role involves creating and implementing measurable marketing plans aimed at brand growth and increasing demand. The Director will work closely with various department leaders to innovate and enhance content and event marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the revenue marketing efforts across all practice groups and industries.
  • Create and implement measurable marketing plans focused on brand growth and increasing demand.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer and department leaders on key services, campaigns, and events.
  • Develop and execute innovative marketing programs that nurture clients and targets.
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to evaluate marketing campaigns and deliver qualified leads.
  • Optimize events and sponsorship investments as part of the firm's go-to-market strategy.
  • Build client growth and loyalty through account-based marketing plans for key clients.
  • Manage the marketing budget and planning process with a focus on ROI and growth.
  • Introduce new ideas related to brands, events, campaigns, and digital marketing.
  • Develop a best-in-class marketing team through coaching and professional development.

Requirements

  • At least twenty (20) years of experience in a senior marketing role.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in management consulting, big four accounting, or global law firms.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing strategy, market analysis, and segmentation.
  • Strong expertise in campaign management, demand generation, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing technology and data analytics.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Innovative mindset focused on continuous improvement.
