About the position

The Director of Marketing for Digital Monitoring Products will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the marketing strategy for the organization. This position involves leading a team to implement various marketing initiatives, including research, promotion, advertising, and organizing both live and virtual events. The Director will be responsible for aligning departmental initiatives with the broader corporate strategy, ensuring that all marketing efforts contribute to the company's overall objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker who can adapt quickly to changes in the market and organizational goals, while also being hands-on in managing the marketing team and their activities. In this capacity, the Director will gather and organize information to support the corporate organizational strategy and objectives. They will review product information to determine the most effective presentation concepts and administer advertising contracts, ensuring that advertising space is purchased as required. The Director will also prepare and submit estimates for program costs as part of campaign plan development, ensuring that all marketing communications are coordinated to support the marketing plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements. Additionally, the Director will review market research, competitor analyses, and dealer surveys to provide actionable recommendations for marketing campaigns. They will give feedback on copy for marketing materials and may write copy for certain projects. A key aspect of this role is the development of leadership skills for both the Director themselves and their direct reports, fostering a culture of growth and continuous learning within the team. The Director will maintain a strong understanding of security industry competitors and possess in-depth knowledge of Digital Monitoring Products, including market differences and similarities. Staying abreast of industry trends in marketing, design, and security will be essential for success in this role. The Director will utilize department task management software to assign and track projects, ensuring follow-through and accountability within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and organize information to quickly adapt and support the corporate organizational strategy and objectives.
  • Review product information to determine the most desirable presentation concept.
  • Administer advertising contracts; purchase advertising space as required.
  • Prepare and submit estimates for program costs as part of campaign plan development.
  • Ensure marketing communications are coordinated to support marketing plan objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements.
  • Review market research, competitor analyses, and dealer surveys; provide recommendations for marketing campaigns.
  • Give feedback on copy for marketing materials; write copy for certain projects as needed.
  • Develop leadership skills for self and direct reports.
  • Maintain understanding of security industry competitors and strong knowledge of DMP, market differences and similarities.
  • Continually learn about industry trends in marketing, design, and security.
  • Utilize department task management software to assign and track projects to ensure follow-through.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business or Communications related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Marketing with supervisory experience.
  • Previous experience working in the Security industry is preferred.
  • Strong people skills and the ability to influence others through direct and indirect means.
  • Ability to work well with others to meet company goals.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategy, tactics, and techniques including marketing and service systems development and deployment to both the dealer and end-user.
