About the position

The Director of Marketing at Brightmeds is a pivotal role responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive customer acquisition and retention in a fast-growing health-tech startup. This position requires a dynamic marketing expert with a strong background in Direct-to-Consumer, Subscription, Agency, or Ecommerce spaces, who can thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment. The role involves overseeing marketing initiatives, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while fostering cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and ROI across Google, Facebook, and Bing.
  • Develop and execute an email and text marketing strategy.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and differentiation strategies.
  • Drive growth marketing initiatives to significantly expand the customer base.
  • Develop and execute product marketing strategies to effectively promote Brightmeds.com services.
  • Utilize data to inform marketing strategies and articulate the impact of marketing actions.
  • Oversee relationships with multiple digital agencies, ensuring effective collaboration and delivery of creative assets.
  • Establish and manage affiliate partnerships to expand reach and increase customer acquisition.
  • Monitor agency and affiliate performance, optimizing partnerships to maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with digital agencies to deliver high-performing, compliant digital ads aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Develop and manage creative assets for paid media campaigns and conversion-focused content.
  • Utilize analytics to monitor campaign effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct split testing and implement changes based on insights to improve performance.
  • Set and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, aligning spend with performance goals and ROI targets.
  • Monitor expenditures and adjust strategies to maximize budget efficiency.
  • Work closely with product, operations, and customer experience teams to align marketing initiatives with overall brand and user experience.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the marketing team and across departments.
  • Ensure all marketing activities adhere to healthcare and prescription medication regulations and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in growth marketing and customer acquisition, particularly in direct-to-consumer campaigns.
  • Experience driving results across multiple startup companies, contributing to revenue growth in the $20-30+ million range through effective marketing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing analytics tools.
  • Expertise in paid search, social media advertising, and performance marketing.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing creative pipelines for digital ads.
  • Experience working with external partners and managing vendor relationships.
  • Managing a marketing budget of a minimum of $250k per month.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • Experience in health-tech, telemedicine, or related industries is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of telemedicine regulations is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
