About the position

The Marketing Director will be responsible for shaping and executing the marketing strategy of a leading automotive distributor, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving brand awareness and sales growth. This role involves market analysis, budget management, and performance evaluations of marketing initiatives, reporting directly to the CEO/President.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all marketing efforts to drive sales and enhance brand visibility across various channels.
  • Evaluate current marketing trends and advertising strategies to measure effectiveness and optimize campaigns.
  • Provide comprehensive market research, performance metrics, competitor analysis, sales forecasts, and insights into consumer trends.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective campaigns aimed at acquiring new customers and retaining existing ones.
  • Analyze sales performance against marketing budget to assess profitability and effectiveness of various campaigns.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to influence budget decisions and strategic direction.
  • Establish and maintain a compelling brand image that resonates with the target audience.
  • Implement marketing best practices and develop comprehensive marketing plans based on industry insights.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with department managers to ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Oversee the coordination and management of external agencies to ensure brand consistency and campaign success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with proven expertise in strategy development and campaign management.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO/SEM, content marketing, email marketing, and analytics tools.
  • Proven track record of driving sales growth through online marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, and Walmart.
  • Experience with catalog and direct mail marketing.
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities to identify target markets and develop marketing initiatives aligned with business goals.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, fostering innovation and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
