About the position

The Director of Marketing at Buddha Jewelry is a pivotal role responsible for the strategic leadership of all marketing operations and functions for two burgeoning and complementary brands. This position requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in marketing strategy development, implementation, and management, particularly in high-growth environments. The Director will synergize all marketing functions, including strategy, branding, digital marketing, advertising, social media strategies, and public relations, while also being accountable for sales objectives and managing the department budget. This role is integral to supporting and empowering the marketing team to achieve their goals and drive the successful growth of the organization. In this role, the Director will collaborate closely with the Leadership team to establish strategic initiatives and determine the proper marketing direction and implementation. Daily tasks will vary between strategy and planning, operationalizing resources, building partnerships, mentoring the team, and supporting executional processes required to achieve objectives. The Director will also be responsible for analyzing market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and identify new opportunities, ensuring a high level of client value delivery through a deep understanding of clients' needs and values. The Director of Marketing will lead the marketing program budget allocation and oversee the performance of campaigns to monitor user acquisition and engagement, driving insights for future program and marketing optimizations. This role also involves managing relationships with PR specialists and enhancing positive public and community relations. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies in collaboration with Leadership and Marketing teams to align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Understand and optimize a global marketing plan that includes both established and emerging markets.
  • Conceptualize and implement cross-channel integrated campaigns to drive engagement, build brand awareness, and achieve customer goals.
  • Lead the marketing program budget allocation and oversee performance of campaigns to monitor user acquisition and engagement.
  • Manage relationships and opportunities with PR specialists while growing positive public and community relations.
  • Optimize the strategic and day-to-day operations of the Marketing team.
  • Build and grow Buddha Jewelry's Marketing team and departmental foundations.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the Marketing team to achieve individual and team sales goals and KPIs.
  • Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to manage brand positioning and drive strategic recommendations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience successfully leading a marketing team, preferably through high-growth periods.
  • Proven success in marketing strategy development, implementation, and management.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and use data-driven insights to monitor and optimize marketing performance.
  • Well-versed in social media and digital marketing strategies, with a passion for storytelling and experience creating and managing distinct brand voices.
  • High level understanding of e-commerce and retail sales, and luxury goods/fine jewelry markets.
  • Experience with multi-brand/multi-channel management and global marketing is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, business administration, management, communications, or a related field.

  • Experience in the fine jewelry industry or luxury goods sector.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, customer engagement, and the sales cycle.
  • Experience managing creative teams including design, web production, and copywriting.
