About the position

The Director of Marketing at Melio will be responsible for developing and executing the company's overarching marketing strategy, ensuring market differentiation, and overseeing end-to-end feature launches. This role involves leading large creative marketing campaigns, conducting customer research, and collaborating with various teams to create enablement assets. The Director will also manage a global team of marketing professionals, focusing on innovation and successful execution of marketing initiatives to drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Melio's overarching marketing strategy.
  • Lead large creative marketing campaigns and help craft the Melio brand identity.
  • Own customer research and market trend analysis to identify strategic marketing opportunities.
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies and key deliverables.
  • Partner with GTM/Sales, Business Development, and customer-facing teams to create enablement assets.
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive playbooks and collateral for Marketing and Sales teams.
  • Lead and direct a global team of marketing and creative professionals.
  • Work closely with the Performance Marketing team to ensure alignment between strategic marketing efforts and performance metrics.
  • Continuously refine strategies based on data-driven insights to maximize ROI and drive business growth.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of B2B or B2B2C Marketing experience, Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, Content Marketing or relevant field.
  • 5+ years in the financial technology or payments industry and experience working in a growing product-led organization.
  • Demonstrated success in building, developing, and delivering creative and measurable marketing strategies.
  • Proven experience working with multiple business stakeholders and driving consensus across diverse functions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to forge and maintain professional relationships.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience in effectively managing marketing budget and ensuring maximum return on investment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and mentor teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with SMBs or Accounting Firms or Accountants.
  • Experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) marketing.
