About the position

Ascension Saint Agnes is seeking a healthcare leader with a passion for operational excellence and patient care. We are looking for a highly skilled Director of Medical Practice Operations to join our team and oversee our Primary Care and Medicine subspecialty departments, including Cardiology, Endocrinology, and Pulmonary. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the administrative and operational aspects of our medical practices. This position requires a strong focus on developing and implementing policies and procedures that support the delivery of services to meet all productivity plans. You will coordinate and integrate services to meet contractual requirements, conduct ongoing assessments, maintain quality control programs, and improve departmental operations. The Director will also be responsible for directing staff, managing departmental turnover, and maintaining high employee and patient satisfaction. Identifying marketing and collaborative opportunities for the department will also be a key responsibility. This role is essential in ensuring that our medical practices operate efficiently and effectively, ultimately leading to improved patient care and operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the development and implementation of policies, procedures and strategies.
  • Organize operations to provide high quality, cost effective services.
  • Model leadership and teaming excellence by providing appropriate advice and counsel to staff to improve effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that support the delivery of services to meet all productivity plans.

  • Conduct ongoing assessments, maintain quality control programs, and improve departmental operations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse preferred.
  • Proficiency in people management and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong background in healthcare operations.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in Google Drive applications such as Docs, Sheets, and Slides is preferred.
