The Director of Network & Security Engineering is a pivotal role that requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving innovation in network and security technologies. This position is responsible for aligning technical strategies with business objectives, ensuring that the organization’s network infrastructure is secure, efficient, and meets the needs of the business. The role demands a balance between strategic planning and hands-on technical expertise, allowing the director to engage directly with the technology when necessary. In this role, the director will develop and execute the overall network and security strategy, ensuring it aligns with the organization’s business objectives. They will lead and manage teams responsible for network operations, security engineering, and voice infrastructure management. The director will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network systems, including Core, WANs, and wireless networks. Establishing and enforcing network security policies, standards, and best practices will be a critical responsibility, as will evaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance network performance and security. The director will also manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and technology partners, develop and manage budgets for network and security operations, and ensure compliance with banking and relevant industry regulations and standards. They will lead incident response efforts for major security breaches or network outages and oversee the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Key performance indicators will include network uptime and performance metrics, security incident response times, and team productivity and employee satisfaction. The director will define and communicate the technical vision and strategy for network and security engineering within the organization, ensuring the stability, integrity, and security of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless network services.
