About the position
The Director of Nursing (DON) is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the nursing department in a nursing home. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality care to residents while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The DON will lead the nursing team, manage daily operations, and foster a supportive environment for both staff and residents.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the nursing department.
- Ensure that nursing staff deliver high-quality, compassionate care to residents.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Coordinate and facilitate ongoing staff training and development.
- Manage nursing staff schedules and assignments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive care plans.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for nursing staff.
- Address any resident or family member concerns regarding nursing care.
Requirements
- Current RN license in Ohio.
- Experience in a supervisory role.
