About the position

The Director of Nursing (DON) at HC&N Healthcare Solutions is responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative operations of the nursing department in a nursing home. This role ensures that residents receive high-quality care and services, promoting their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. The DON will advocate for both residents and staff, fostering a culture of excellence in nursing care through effective leadership and continuous education.

Responsibilities

• Access, analyze, and develop systems within the nursing department.
• Oversee daily clinical and administrative operations of the nursing department.
• Ensure each resident receives necessary care and services according to their comprehensive plan of care.
• Incorporate evidence-based practices in nursing department philosophy and objectives.
• Advocate for residents and staff under direction.
• Promote high standards of resident care through orientation and continuing education efforts.
• Maintain adequate levels of nursing personnel and ensure proper preparation of nursing supervisors and managers.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Director in Long Term Care.
• Strong supervision and leadership skills.
