About the position
The Director of Nursing (DON) is a clinical leadership role responsible for overseeing nursing operations in a 65-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF) within a well-respected senior care organization. The position requires a calm and experienced RN with a strong background in long-term care and skilled nursing, focusing on maintaining high standards of patient care and staff management. The DON will work closely with a dedicated clinical team and regional support to ensure the facility operates efficiently and effectively, promoting a positive work environment and excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing operations in the skilled nursing facility.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Manage nursing staff and provide leadership and support.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Monitor patient care and outcomes to improve service delivery.
- Participate in budget planning and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in senior care as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Experience in turnaround building and managing clinical teams.
