About the position
The Director of Nursing (DON) at Bellbrook Health and Rehab is responsible for leading and managing the nursing staff to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care in a long-term care facility. This role involves overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and advocating for residents and their families. The DON will also focus on staff development and maintaining a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations
- Oversee clinical operations, including assessments, care planning, and quality assurance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Act as an advocate for residents and families, addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of care
- Oversee training programs for nursing staff to enhance skills and professional growth
Requirements
- Current Ohio RN license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's preferred
- Nursing leadership experience in long-term care
- Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations
