About the position
The Director of Nursing (DON) is a clinical leadership role responsible for overseeing nursing operations in a 65-bed skilled nursing facility (SNF). This position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in long-term care and skilled nursing, focusing on maintaining high standards of patient care and managing a strong clinical team. The DON will play a crucial role in ensuring the facility's reputation for quality care and employee satisfaction, while also contributing to the overall success and growth of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing operations in the skilled nursing facility.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Manage and support nursing staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement patient care policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvements as necessary.
- Participate in budgeting and resource allocation for nursing services.
Requirements
- Must have a valid RN license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in senior care as a Director of Nursing in SNF/LTC.
- Experience overseeing a larger skilled nursing facility is a plus.
- Demonstrated history of accomplishments and success in nursing leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.

- Experience with building turnaround and VENTS experience.
