About The Position

The Director of Nursing at Kindred Hospital Ontario is responsible for overseeing the daily clinical and administrative operations of the nursing department. This role ensures that residents receive the necessary care and services to maintain their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. The Director advocates for residents and staff, promotes high standards of care, and collaborates with the Executive Director/CEO to adhere to partnership agreements. This position is crucial in delivering intensive, multidisciplinary care to chronic and critically ill patients in a long-term acute care setting.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
• Valid RN license in the state employed.
• Certification as a director of nursing or nursing executive/administrator in long-term care preferred.
• Valid CPR certification.
• At least one year of leadership experience in administration and management in a healthcare organization.
• At least one year of experience in gerontological nursing/long-term care nursing preferred.

Responsibilities
