About the position
The Director of Nursing at Mattis Pointe is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the clinical team and ensuring high-quality care for residents in a 30-unit assisted living community. This position involves managing nursing services, compliance with regulations, and fostering a supportive environment for both residents and staff. The role emphasizes collaboration, clinical guidance, and the implementation of nursing standards to enhance the quality of life for seniors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the clinical supervision and administration of all nursing services.
- Implement and maintain nursing objectives, standards, policies, and procedures, revising them as necessary.
- Provide clinical guidance to nursing staff, including LPNs, CNAs, and other care team members.
- Collaborate with community administrators to ensure all staff receive necessary orientation and training.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents and ensure all required documentation is up-to-date.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and Americare regulations.
- Manage medication systems and ensure they meet regulatory guidelines and resident needs.
- Play a key role in quality assurance by maintaining community standards, assisting with inspections, and upholding a safe, home-like environment for residents.
Requirements
- A current state nursing license (LPN).
- A proven track record in nursing leadership, preferably in senior living or long-term care environments.
- Strong clinical knowledge and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage both the administrative and hands-on aspects of nursing care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
