They will also coordinate the annual budgeting process in collaboration with the Finance Department and Patient Care Services Division Directors and Managers, while monitoring compliance with the established budget. Evaluating current departmental and hospital systems is crucial, as the Director will focus on healthcare trends and continuous quality improvement initiatives, developing proposals for necessary changes. Additionally, the Director will manage Nursing Resource Management, which includes overseeing the nursing float pool, staffing, patient accommodations, and administrative supervisors. They will assist the CNO in developing and implementing strategies, policies, and programs that enhance patient care services. The role also involves coordinating initiatives related to performance improvement, patient flow, and length of stay activities, ensuring that all programs and projects are effectively managed and evaluated for their impact on departmental operations. The Director will prepare reports and proposals for the CNO, represent the CNO on various committees and project teams, and take operational responsibility for designated projects.
