About the position
The Director of Nursing (DON) at Bellbrook Health and Rehab is responsible for leading and managing the nursing staff to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care in a long-term care facility. This role involves overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and fostering a positive work environment for staff and residents alike.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to deliver high-quality, resident-centered care
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations
- Oversee clinical operations, including assessments, care planning, and quality assurance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Act as an advocate for residents and families, addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Manage staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and continuity of care
- Oversee training programs for nursing staff to enhance skills and professional growth
Requirements
- Current Ohio RN license
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's preferred
- Nursing leadership experience in long-term care
- Strong knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations
