About the position

The Director of Occupational Medicine is a senior leadership role focused on managing the billing process for Workers' Compensation and Employer Services within a rapidly growing Urgent Care provider. This fully remote position emphasizes strategic thinking, operational excellence, and team leadership to ensure efficient billing operations while maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive billing strategy aligned with financial goals.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in billing operations.
• Manage a team of billing professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Ensure accurate calculation of charges, fees, and taxes per contractual agreements.
• Evaluate and implement billing systems and technologies to optimize processes.
• Monitor billing metrics, analyze trends, and generate reports for senior management.
• Stay current with industry regulations and ensure compliance in billing practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle management.
• 5+ years of experience in managing a team.
• 3+ years of experience in Urgent Care settings.
• Experience with EPIC EHR preferred.
• Billing and coding certification or Certified Revenue Cycle Professional preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of insurance payers and the AR/revenue billing lifecycle.
• Experience in using Practice Management Systems/Billing Software.
• Excellent computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
