About the position

The AGM/Director of Operations at Hilton Garden Inn Fredericksburg is responsible for overseeing the Front Desk Departments, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining product quality standards. This management role requires hotel management experience and flexible scheduling, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Front Desk Departments to ensure overall success and guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare team member schedules in accordance with budgets and business forecasts.
  • Train hotel staff in financial control procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Recommend local attractions and restaurants to guests.
  • Inform guests about hotel services and amenities.
  • Assist with check-in/check-out procedures and manage telephone and computer systems.
  • Manage human resources functions including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor daily bookings and manage oversold room types.

Requirements

  • Hotel management experience is required.
  • Ability to operate hotel POS and PMS Systems, specifically Hilton.
  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Highly motivated team player with a strong initiative and desire for achievement.
  • Effective problem-solving skills in a workplace setting.
  • Excellent guest service skills and approachability.

Nice-to-haves
