About the position

The Director of Operations and Nursing is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a private in-home care company. This position requires a strong background in geriatric nursing and operational leadership, focusing on profit and loss management, strategic direction, and team delegation to achieve company objectives. The ideal candidate will implement the company's vision while driving growth and maintaining operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to clinical and administrative teams to meet company goals.
  • Manage daily operations of Home Health Companions, ensuring efficient and compliant service delivery.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for high-quality client care and adherence to regulations.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and development of staff to build a competent team.
  • Work with the executive team to set and meet financial goals and objectives.
  • Manage financial performance, including budget preparation and revenue optimization.
  • Analyze profit and loss statements to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop financial plans that align with strategic goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities and develop initiatives to expand services and market reach.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively to team members and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Implement quality assurance programs to improve client care and operational efficiency.
  • Promote a client-centered approach to care and address client concerns promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
  • Active RN license in Texas or Compact License.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing leadership experience with proven ability to drive revenue.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, including profit and loss analysis.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and delegation skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of home health regulations and compliance requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in managing $5 - $10M in revenue.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
