About the position

As the Director of Operations at our Hebron facility, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the manufacturing processes of our diverse product lines, which include air care, cleaning, water treatment, sewage maintenance, and sanitizing products. Founded in 1911, our company has grown to employ 700 individuals and has seen a 6% increase in headcount over the past two years, primarily in operations. This growth reflects our commitment to expanding our product offerings and increasing our market share across various sectors, including education, healthcare, food processing, and government services. In this leadership position, you will manage a team of 30 professionals, collaborating closely with process, quality, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure that production goals are met efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include reviewing completed production orders for accuracy, identifying and implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory standards, including ISO compliance. You will also work directly with Production Managers and Supervisors to assess employee performance, conduct appraisals, and manage disciplinary actions as necessary. A key aspect of your role will be to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. You will partner with the quality department to establish new standards that enhance product quality and operational efficiency. Your leadership will be crucial in mentoring and developing talent within the team, embodying a servant leader mindset that prioritizes the growth and success of your team members.

Responsibilities

  • Meet production goals and manage workflow
  • Review closed out completed production orders to ensure accuracy
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Ensure the operation meets internal and external regulatory and ISO compliance
  • Work with Production Managers & Supervisors to assess hourly employee performance, appraisals, raises, and discipline
  • Collaborate with the quality department to create new standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field
  • 5+ years of management experience within a chemical manufacturing plant
  • Experience working as a Chemical Engineer is ideal
  • Operations experience in blending, filling, and hourly staff management
  • Ability to mentor and develop talent with a servant leader mindset
