About the position

The Director of Operations - Distribution is responsible for overseeing and managing the warehousing, distribution, and transportation activities at the distribution center. This role involves implementing operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe facility operations while meeting customer service expectations. The Director will also maintain compliance with health and sanitation standards and protect company assets within the region.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, and control warehousing, distribution, and transportation activities.
• Implement company operating policies, procedures, and processes for efficient operations.
• Maintain the distribution center in accordance with health and sanitation standards and OSHA requirements.
• Protect and maintain company assets including inventory, facilities, and fleet.
• Manage and oversee Warehouse Distribution in food or beverage sectors, including Profit & Loss and Data Analysis.
• Establish and maintain warehouse budgetary goals and oversee inventory control procedures.
• Provide leadership, training, and development for warehouse supervisors.
• Conduct performance reviews and manage overtime for warehouse staff.
• Ensure quality service and product delivery to customers.
• Develop and maintain effective cost control and productivity procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of prior warehouse/distribution experience.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor's Degree highly preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English.
• Experience operating a forklift and knowledge of MS Office required.
• Experience in Profit & Loss management, forecasting, and food distribution management.
