About the position

The Director of Operations will oversee the Commissary Kitchen operations and manage the operations of 6+ Vietnamese restaurants. This role is crucial for ensuring high standards in food preparation, staff training, and compliance with health regulations, while also fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance.
  • Develop seasonal specials and execute the rollout to all individual locations.
  • Oversee inventory and logistics management.
  • Communicate with the front of house about allergens.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
  • Monitor food production processes to maintain quality control and consistency.
  • Travel to each location to ensure food quality.
  • Assist with the training of individual location Kitchen Managers.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong skills in supervising kitchen staff and managing kitchen operations effectively.
  • Expertise in menu planning and food production techniques.
  • Knowledge of Vietnamese food.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while fostering a positive atmosphere.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food preparation.
  • Familiarity with dietary restrictions and the ability to create accommodating meal options is preferred.
  • Passion for cooking with a creative flair for developing new dishes.
  • Strong communication skills.
