About the position

As a Director of Operations at Via, you will lead the Partner Operations team, focusing on the performance, growth, and profitability of a strategic $30M+ portfolio of Texas-based services. This role involves full P&L ownership, managing a team of over 10 members, and overseeing service operations to ensure exceptional service quality and partner satisfaction. You will also be responsible for pioneering new transit models that can be replicated in other markets, making a significant impact on the company's expansion efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Grow a portfolio of Texas-based markets with high-level executive visibility.
  • Take full responsibility for a $30M+ P&L, ensuring financial targets are met and exceeded through exceptional management.
  • Shape and implement the strategic vision for these markets, pioneering new transit models that will serve as a model for other regions.
  • Lead, mentor, and expand a team of over 10 Operations Managers and Field Managers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee daily operations, aiming to achieve quality of service, financial targets, and strong partner satisfaction.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for partners, helping them develop and grow an excellent transit system.
  • Identify potential risks to the market portfolio and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an operational leadership role, ideally with P&L responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies successfully.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to finding creative solutions.
  • Strong comfort working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and taking on responsibility.
  • 8+ years of experience, ideally with a combination of consulting and operating experience.
  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree with a record of exceptional academic and professional achievement.
