About the position

The Director of Operations at Amedisys is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the overall organization and financial management of the care center. This position requires a Registered Nurse (RN) license and involves supervising clinical managers to ensure quality care delivery to patients in a home care setting. Responsibilities

• Handles employment decisions for direct report staff, including hiring, firing, and promotions.
• Responsible for overall organization and financial management of the care center.
• Provides supervision to clinical managers to ensure quality care delivery.
• Maintains the care center's image in the community and with state and national organizations.
• Provides input and guidance on marketing activities and care center marketing plans.
• Ensures adequate orientation for every team member assigned to the care center.
• Assigns and directs staff with appropriate skills to perform duties.
• Provides leadership planning for staff education programs and meetings.
• Encourages continuous education and staff development for all team members.
• Sets positive, attainable expectations, objectives, and goals for the care center.
• Implements a performance improvement program to drive quality care and positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Current RN License specific to the state of assignment.
• Two years of home care experience and at least one year of supervisory experience, or two years of leadership/management experience in healthcare, home health, or hospice.
• Associates degree in business or clinical-related field.
