About the position

The Director of Operations & Supply Chain at Eurofins Nutrition Analysis Center is responsible for ensuring high-quality laboratory and supply chain services that meet and exceed client expectations. This role involves overseeing operational activities, improving service quality, managing client relationships, and contributing to the financial success of the laboratory.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high-quality laboratory and supply chain service levels are met.
  • Improve the quality of technical and non-technical services provided to clients.
  • Oversee efficient onboarding of new clients and maintain professional client services.
  • Ensure timely and accurate issuance of test results and investigations.
  • Deploy end-to-end improvement projects within operations.
  • Communicate and meet all client requirements regarding sample registration and preparation.
  • Supervise and coordinate administrative and operational activities of personnel.
  • Contribute to financial success through budgeting and capital expense decisions.
  • Participate in preparing and quoting major technical studies with the Sales/Marketing team.
  • Analyze monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to client complaints and productivity.
  • Serve as local IT key user for business unit enhancements and system testing.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal procedures.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Control administrative and operational expenses within the annual budget.
  • Perform annual performance reviews for direct reports and coordinate reviews for other personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required; Master's or PhD preferred.
  • 5 - 7 years of applicable laboratory experience with at least 5 years in supervisory and client service roles.
  • Strong technical and management background required.
  • Experience in data analysis, computer operations, and technical/business writing.
  • Proven ability to work in ISO and cGMP environments.
  • Strong leadership, initiative, and teambuilding skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Fluency in English is required.
