The Director of Operations for Women's Basketball at The University of Texas at Austin plays a crucial role in the management and operations of the Women's Basketball program. This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, and managing the team schedule to facilitate smooth operations. The Director will collaborate with events and facilities to coordinate practice schedules, event logistics, and operations, while also overseeing the fiscal management of the operating budget. This includes ordering, storing, distributing, and maintaining inventory of team apparel and equipment. In addition to operational duties, the Director will assist in monitoring student-athlete practice and competition hours, ensuring compliance with required days off. The role involves supporting the coaching staff with the timely production and submission of necessary documents, as well as hiring, evaluating, and supervising student managers and workers. The Director will also oversee all aspects of team travel, including coordination of travel arrangements, accommodations, meals, and meeting spaces. The position requires the Director to assist with planning and coordinating campus visits for prospective student-athletes, as well as managing Women's Basketball camp operations, which includes budgeting, logistics, and participant recruitment. The Director will maintain the camp website and manage all related correspondence. Building collaborative relationships with various departments within Texas Athletics and the University is essential to provide resources and guidance to student-athletes. The Director will also serve as a liaison with the T-Association, the Longhorn Foundation, and other relevant areas, while consistently exemplifying the core values and quality service standards of Texas Athletics. Compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and regulations is mandatory, and the Director must report any violations as required by the University and NCAA policies.
