About the position

The Director of Operations at Restaurant Associates is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the successful operation of a corporate food service setting at JPMorgan Chase's new global headquarters. This position involves managing a food hall with 19 branded concepts, ensuring high standards of service, client satisfaction, and financial compliance. The role requires a seasoned professional with multi-unit management experience, capable of developing policies, motivating staff, and maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership of operations in corporate food service setting
  • Develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures
  • Support the development and implementation of service programs that meet client and regulatory standards
  • Monitor financial reports of the accounts to ensure budgetary compliance
  • Develop and motivate an effective management and service staff
  • Audit and improve unit operations to ensure contract compliance and service excellence
  • Interface with clients to maintain client satisfaction and account retention
  • Resolve client, guest, and associate related complaints
  • Conduct appropriate annual and semi-annual performance evaluations
  • Complete all daily, weekly, and monthly reports as outlined in the corporate policy
  • Project a high level of customer service at all
  • Train, motivate, and develop management personnel

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent related experience
  • Proven ability to manage a team
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in multi-unit foodservice management
  • Strong track record of driving customer satisfaction
  • Proven ability to work effectively in an unstructured, fast-paced and P&L driven environment
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
