About the position

The Director of Operations serves as the strategic business leader for the hotel's operations, overseeing various departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Engineering. This role is responsible for ensuring that hotel operations meet brand standards, enhance customer satisfaction, and maximize financial performance while developing positive relationships with owners. The Director will implement property-wide strategies to deliver exceptional products and services that meet the needs of both guests and employees.

Responsibilities

  • Functions as the strategic business leader of the property's Hotel Operations.
  • Develops and implements departmental strategies in collaboration with direct reports.
  • Ensures implementation of brand service strategy and initiatives.
  • Maximizes financial performance of the department and develops positive owner relations.
  • Analyzes service issues and identifies trends to improve guest satisfaction.
  • Monitors hotel operations sales performance against budget and reviews financial statements.
  • Champions the brand's service vision and ensures alignment among hotel leadership teams.
  • Reviews guest feedback and ensures corrective actions are taken.
  • Facilitates the development of creative solutions to improve guest satisfaction results.
  • Conducts annual performance appraisals with direct reports.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years of relevant experience; OR a 4-year bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales and marketing, or management operations.
