About the position

The Director of Operations at Saint Peter's University plays a crucial role in the Enrollment Services area, overseeing the technical support and management of various integrated systems, including Ellucian Colleague SIS and related platforms. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the financial aid module, liaising with IT for technical issues, and providing advanced user support to staff. The Director will also engage in system testing, data management, and compliance with regulations, contributing to the overall efficiency of the university's enrollment processes.

Responsibilities

  • Create, setup, test, and modify the financial aid module in Colleague.
  • Liaise with Information Technology on technical aspects of the financial aid module.
  • Test and prepare financial aid files for packaging and run simulations.
  • Manage Common Originations and Disbursement (COD) processing and reconciliation of federal grants.
  • Create and run reports for operational needs of financial aid and review error lists.
  • Manage the Communications Management module for financial aid and revise rules for missing information requests.
  • Provide advanced user support to Enrollment Services staff and maintain computed fields.
  • Perform technical administrative duties for compliance with regulations and respond to inquiries.
  • Interact with external vendors to support complex computer application systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or an Associate's Degree in Computer Science/Programming with at least two years of programming or systems development experience.
  • Two years of experience using Colleague, preferably in Student Accounts, Financial Aid, or Registrar.
  • Knowledge of relational database models, database concepts, and query tools such as SQL.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Entrinsik Informer preferred.
  • Familiarity with exporting and extracting data from internal and external databases.
