About the position

The Director of Operations at PSSI is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence and enhancing organizational performance within the food sanitation industry. This position serves as a critical link between the Vice President of Operations and Division Managers, ensuring alignment of strategic objectives with operational execution across multiple territories. The role emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to operational efficiency, contributing to the company's mission of delivering exceptional service and driving growth.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the assigned territory, ensuring operational excellence and service improvements.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Operations and Division Managers to translate corporate strategies into actionable plans.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Division Managers, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, implementing strategies to optimize performance.
  • Head continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
  • Optimize staffing levels and resource allocation to meet operational demands and budgetary goals.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key customers and ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, mitigating risks.
  • Mentor and develop Division Managers and operational teams, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of operations-related progressive experience in a food production/sanitation environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience.
  • Working knowledge of government regulations (EPA, USDA, OSHA) and safety standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic skills to learn new programs.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
