About the position

As the Director of Operations for DaVita Kidney Care, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a portfolio of 12 outpatient dialysis clinics located in the Metro-Detroit area. This leadership position requires an ambitious, operationally-focused individual who is results-driven and capable of managing a team of 250 teammates, including 12 direct reports who are clinic managers. You will be responsible for a significant P&L of $50 million, ensuring that financial and operational goals are met while maintaining high standards of clinical care. Your role will involve collaborating closely with a Division Vice President and other regional and divisional leaders, including finance and people service managers, to drive business performance and achieve strategic objectives. In this position, you will have complete accountability for your P&L, managing financial growth, labor management, contract management, and capital expenses. You will be tasked with driving operational, financial, team, and clinical performance through the use of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics. Working directly with clinic managers, you will identify and address employee and patient concerns, ensuring alignment with regional goals and standards. Additionally, you will address top growth priorities, lead operational conversions on acquisitions, and develop strategic planning initiatives that maximize the region's clinical care and growth potential. Your ability to interface with business leaders across various functional teams, including Finance, People Services, Strategy, and Quality, will be crucial in supporting strategy and operational execution. Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of 12 outpatient dialysis clinics in Metro-Detroit, MI.
• Manage a team of 250 teammates, including 12 direct reports (clinic managers).
• Accountable for a P&L of $50 million, managing financial and revenue growth, labor management, contract management, and capital expenses.
• Drive operational, financial, team, and clinical performance through KPIs and metrics.
• Work directly with clinic managers to identify and address employee and patient concerns.
• Address top growth priorities and lead successful operational conversions on acquisitions.
• Develop and implement strategic planning initiatives to maximize clinical care and growth potential.
• Interface with business leaders from various functional teams to support strategy and operational execution.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience as a supervisor/leader in operations, with at least 2+ years of multisite experience.
• Healthcare industry background is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership acumen with successful team management and development experience.
• Prior P&L management experience with a demonstrated track record of successful fiscal and operating leadership.
• Experience working in a matrix organization with the ability to manage multiple priorities across various stakeholders and departments.
• Demonstrated strong analytical, quantitative, and logical thinking skills.
• Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel required; intermediate skills in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
• Availability for regional and some national travel, up to 40%.
