About the position

DaVita Kidney Care is seeking an ambitious, operationally-focused, and results-driven Leader for the position of Director of Operations. This role is based in Metro-Detroit, MI, covering the Northwestern Suburbs including Royal Oak, Southfield, Oak Park, Clarkston, Novi, Rochester Hills, and Bloomfield Hills. As the Regional Operations Director, you will oversee a portfolio of 16 outpatient dialysis clinics and home programs, managing a team of 250 teammates, including 16 direct reports who are clinic managers. You will be responsible for a P&L of $50 million, reporting directly to a Division Vice President and collaborating with other regional and division leaders, including finance managers, people service managers, and medical directors to drive business success. In this role, you will have complete accountability for your P&L, managing financial and revenue growth, labor management, contract management, and capital expenses. You will drive operational, financial, team, and clinical performance through the use of KPIs and metrics. Working directly with clinic managers, you will identify and address employee and patient concerns to align with regional goals and standards. You will also address top growth priorities, provide due diligence, and lead successful operational conversions on acquisitions and strategic growth initiatives. Additionally, you will develop and implement strategic planning initiatives that maximize the region's clinical care and growth potential, interfacing with business leaders from various functional teams, including Finance, People Services, Strategy, and Quality, to support strategy and operational execution. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience as a supervisor/leader in operations with at least 2+ years of multisite experience.
  • Bachelor's degree; Master's Degree strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership acumen with successful team management and development.
  • Prior P&L management experience with a demonstrated track record of successful fiscal and operating leadership.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization with the ability to manage multiple priorities across various stakeholders and departments.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical, quantitative, and logical thinking skills.
  • Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel; intermediate skills in MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required.
  • Availability for regional and some national travel, up to 40%.
