About the position

The Director of Operations at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Newark Airport is responsible for overseeing the hotel's operational functions, ensuring compliance with established policies, and enhancing profitability through effective management and analysis of departmental performance. This role emphasizes guest satisfaction and team member support, requiring strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Compose an annual budget in coordination with department heads and the General Manager, and perform audits throughout the year to ensure profitability.
• Analyze the performance of each department, report any problem areas, and make recommendations to improve profitability for hotel operations.
• Assist the General Manager in the day-to-day operation of the hotel in maintaining all standards of guest service.
• Manage compliance with company or brand established policies and procedures and any local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Assist in day-to-day operations within all departments.

Requirements

• Superb communication skills, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
• A proven record of experience managing a team, preferably in a hospitality role is required.

Nice-to-haves

• ONQ and Profit Sage experience preferred.
