About the position

The Director of Operations will oversee the strategic and operational aspects of a family-owned restaurant management company. This role is crucial for ensuring operational efficiency, quality, service, and cleanliness across multiple locations, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service. The position involves strategic leadership, operational management, team development, performance monitoring, and enhancing customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align operations with overall company goals.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor performance to inform strategic decisions.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Implement best practices for inventory management, food safety, and quality assurance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, including district managers and store managers.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and customer service excellence.
  • Establish training programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about company standards and procedures.
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of locations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze financial reports and metrics to drive operational performance and budget management.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food and exceptional customer service across all locations.
  • Address customer feedback and complaints effectively to enhance customer loyalty and brand reputation.
  • Liaise with other departments, including marketing, finance, and human resources, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communicate operational goals and updates to all stakeholders effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the fast food or quick-service restaurant industry.
  • Proven experience managing multiple locations and leading diverse teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
