About the position

The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the planning, organizing, hiring, training, and leadership necessary to achieve the organization's objectives in various areas including sales, employee retention, guest service, and food quality across all properties. This role requires a dynamic leader who can ensure compliance with policies and standards while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, hiring, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with all organization's policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs.
  • Generate and recruit top-notch management leads and focus on new hire processes.
  • Maintain processes for food, drink, and product preparation according to standards.
  • Achieve company objectives in staffing, sales, service, quality, and cleanliness through training and oversight.
  • Manage cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with brand policies.
  • Make staffing, scheduling, and termination decisions as needed.
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Develop management staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.
  • Prepare required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules in an organized manner.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and keep files updated.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and cleanliness through personal inspection.
  • Ensure timely completion of management performance appraisals.
  • Manage scheduled labor according to anticipated business activity and labor cost objectives.
  • Administer corrective actions for policy violations promptly and fairly.
  • Oversee marketing, advertising, and promotional activities to achieve sales goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years multi-unit management experience.
  • Extensive cost of goods and P&L experience.
  • Dynamic, positive, and charismatic leadership skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety concepts and practices.
  • Servsafe certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week.
