About the position

BrightStar Care of Miami, FL is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Operations to lead our team and make a significant impact in the lives of seniors in the Miami, Hialeah, and Key Largo areas. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our home care agency operates at the highest standards of quality and care. As the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, including client and customer care, recruitment, payroll, scheduling, billing, and compliance with accreditation standards. You will work closely with customer care managers to ensure that our clients receive the best possible service and support. In this position, you will implement and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent for both field staff and branch office positions. You will also manage payroll and scheduling processes, utilizing technology tools to streamline operations and ensure efficiency. Compliance with Joint Commission accreditation standards and all relevant regulations is a critical aspect of this role, and you will be responsible for enforcing these standards within the branch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare operations, with experience managing a high-volume office or agency. You will need to demonstrate excellent leadership skills, the ability to manage a diverse team, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage the customer care managers (CCMs) and all customer/client relations.
  • Implement and execute active, ongoing recruitment strategies to attract the best field staff and branch office staff.
  • Support and use all technology tools and resources to ensure proper business processes related to payroll, scheduling, billing, and coding management.
  • Enforce and maintain all Joint Commission accreditations standard of excellence and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as employment laws and practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Associates and/or Bachelor Degree in Business Management or Administration; may substitute Degree requirement with a combination of education/experience; and minimum of 2 years' experience as Branch Manager and/or managing sales, customer service, and human resources functions within an office setting.
  • CPR Certification.
  • Proficient in MSOffice (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • 1-2 years' experience using major brand payroll software/payroll provider (e.g. PeopleSoft, PayCom, Oasis, ADP preferred).
  • 2-3 years managing a high-volume healthcare office branch or agency or 3-4 years managing a similar branch or agency operations with a strong customer relations and quality of work culture (preferred).
  • 1-2 years sales management experience.
  • 2-3 years managing people and effectively scheduling staff at all levels (supervisory, per diem staff, full-time, and part-time employees).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Valid state required proof of auto insurance.
  • Experience managing within a healthcare environment supervising field staff, LPNs, CNAs, and RNs is highly desired.
