About the position

The Director of Operations at Heart of Ohio Family Health Centers is responsible for leading and coordinating clinic operations, ensuring service and operational excellence across multiple locations. This role involves supervising clinic staff, managing policy implementation, and fostering teamwork among staff to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the health centers and coordinate work activities of staff.
• Implement office policies and procedures related to patient care.
• Supervise clinic staff, excluding providers, referrals, and enabling services.
• Manage staffing levels based on site productivity and patient needs.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and orientation of new staff.
• Ensure timely completion of employee evaluations and set appropriate goals for staff.
• Monitor employee timesheets and time clock activities.
• Work with leadership to identify opportunities and problems, initiating plans for decision-making and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with Quality Manager on quality initiatives and improvements.
• Attend management meetings and outside training as required.

Requirements

• At least five years of progressively responsible management-level experience in healthcare management.
• Prior experience in managing an office in healthcare.
• Experience in managing direct reports effectively.
• Knowledge of medical coding and billing processes.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with patient scheduling software, preferably EPIC.
• Ability to manage employee relations and foster a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in healthcare quality initiatives such as UDS, PCMH, and ACO.
• Strong customer service skills related to medical service delivery.
