The Director of Operations at ImageFIRST Healthcare Laundry Specialists is a pivotal role focused on enhancing operational efficiency across multiple plants within a designated region. The Director will also be responsible for managing productivity reporting and performance metrics for the assigned territory, ensuring that all plants meet their operational goals. In addition to operational oversight, the Director of Operations will play a crucial role in training and certifying staff in compliance areas, ensuring that all plants adhere to industry standards and regulations. This position demands strong problem-solving skills, as the Director will need to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions. The ability to foster a safe work environment is paramount, as is the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional departments on various projects and initiatives. The Director will also be expected to travel extensively, with a travel requirement of approximately 75%. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of a region
  • Coach/Development of new Plant Managers
  • Drive daily process improvement in assigned territory
  • Manage productivity reporting & performance for the assigned territory
  • Work closely with Senior Management in developing long-term operational strategies that meet the company's objectives
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and perform root cause analysis
  • Foster a safe work environment
  • Support and training of plants on internal plant productivity systems
  • Collaborate with cross functional departments on projects and new initiatives
  • Responsible for training and certification of all compliance areas

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Proven track record in managing multiple locations
  • Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and perform root cause analysis
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Proficient with MS Office, Excel, Power Point, and general PC applications
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and motivational skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up, creativity, problem solving, conflict management, written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to drive performance without formal authority
