About the position

The Director of Operations at JFE Franchising Inc. plays a crucial role in overseeing the operational aspects of the business, ensuring that all company goals are met efficiently and effectively. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, this position is responsible for leading negotiations, budgeting, purchasing, and implementing efficient workflows to maximize productivity and performance across the Snowfruit brand. The Director will develop long-term operational strategies in collaboration with senior management, focusing on achieving company objectives and enhancing operational efficiency. In this role, the Director of Operations will be tasked with developing, implementing, and monitoring day-to-day operational systems and processes. This includes providing visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives. The Director will oversee various departments, including manufacturing, purchasing, and sales, ensuring that each department meets the goals set by leadership. A significant part of the role involves planning, monitoring, and analyzing key metrics to ensure timely completion of tasks and effective communication of business objectives to Regional Directors. The Director will also work closely with HR to identify potential risks and mitigate concerns before they escalate. Monthly business plans will be developed in collaboration with directors to ensure mutual objectives are achieved. The role requires building strong relationships with store brand leaders and collaborating with leadership to foster an environment of collective responsibility and accountability. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for ensuring that new stores are opened according to budgeted sales and operational standards, while also maintaining a strong focus on safety and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes.
  • Oversee manufacturing, purchasing, and sales departments to ensure they meet their goals.
  • Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for day-to-day operations.
  • Communicate business objectives clearly to Regional Directors.
  • Work closely with HR to identify and mitigate potential HR risks.
  • Develop monthly business plans with directors to achieve mutual objectives.
  • Track sales data and trends to maximize sales performance and profitability.
  • Build relationships with store brand leaders to achieve desired results.
  • Collaborate with leadership to foster collective responsibility and accountability.
  • Ensure 100% completion on Safety Culture Logs through daily tracking.
  • Drive employee performance reviews to maintain an engaged workforce.
  • Create innovative plans to improve regional support for employees and franchisees.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of operational functions including finance, customer service, production, and employee management.
  • Proven ability to manage operational processes for maximum efficiency.
  • Experience in developing budgets and business plans.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ethical leadership abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience as a Director preferred, but other leadership experience will be considered.
  • Experience in the food service industry is a plus.
