A Director of Operations is an energetic restaurant operations leader capable of leading three above-store leaders towards restaurant operations excellence. In this role, you will oversee the people, processes, and operations to drive brand excellence in the day-to-day operations of all assigned stores. This position requires proven experience in turning around low-performing restaurants and ensuring that hiring and training for all positions are executed properly. You will directly support above-store leaders, plan and set goals, and focus on in-store problem-solving and process improvement while holding the Territory Manager, Area Coaches, and Restaurant Managers to brand standards. The Director of Operations (DO) is expected to be organized, open-minded, a self-starter, and creative, with an extroverted personality that allows for effective direction. A successful DO will have a track record of consistently exceeding guest and company expectations, demonstrating a growth mindset that seizes every opportunity to improve efficiency and effectiveness. This role requires high processing thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to mentor each above-store leader in the market to ensure customer satisfaction. You will monitor McLane orders, provide necessary training to ensure forecasting and billing processes are applied, and deliver Restaurant Controllable Profit (RCP) while meeting targeted flow-thru/EBITDA in each restaurant. Analyzing reports to identify growth opportunities and maintaining top-line orientation through operational focus are key responsibilities. You will also be responsible for executing the highest FSCC and HQSC standards, ensuring compliance with local health and safety codes, and taking ownership of repairs and maintenance issues. The DO will work a customer-based 50-hour-plus work week and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This position operates well in a hands-on working environment, contributing to maximizing P&L management, cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports, and demonstrating a sense of urgency in taking appropriate action. Effective communication at all levels of the organization is essential to provide timely feedback to protect and grow the business. You will conduct effective and consistent visits, using period and weekly calendars to provide feedback to above-store and store-level leaders.
