At Legacy Transportation, we are committed to delivering reliable, efficient, and customer-focused transportation solutions. We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Director of Operations to join our team and help shape the future of our operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the operations team, consisting of approximately 8 dispatchers and planners.
• Manage the fleet maintenance department to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards across all operations.
• Collaborate with leadership from other departments to drive process improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the recruiting team to attract and select van operators, ensuring the development of a strong and effective team.
• Contribute to technical and financial initiatives that support the overall efficiency and profitability of the organization.
• Direct budget planning and management to ensure financial health and operational effectiveness.
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and enhance service delivery.

Requirements

• Strong operational leadership skills
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in operations management or a similar role.
• Strong strategic planning, financial acumen, and analytical skills.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements related to the transportation industry.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Project management experience with a track record of successful implementation.
