About the position

The Director of Customer Success Specialists at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a strategic leadership role focused on driving end-user adoption of AWS's business applications portfolio. This position involves working directly with high-value customers and partners to define the vision, strategy, and execution roadmap that enhances customer satisfaction and success. The role requires a customer-obsessed leader who can translate high-level strategies into actionable plans, ensuring that complex customer needs are met through innovative solutions and effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-user adoption of AWS business applications portfolio with customers and partners.
  • Define the vision, strategy, and execution roadmap for customer success initiatives.
  • Work directly with significant and strategic customers to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Advocate for customer interests across the organization using industry expertise and business acumen.
  • Identify and tackle complex, high-impact problems for customers, acquiring deep domain expertise as needed.
  • Communicate complex ideas and recommendations effectively to executive and senior-level stakeholders.
  • Foster constructive, customer-focused dialogue and provide transparent counsel to senior leaders.
  • Shape long-term business and technology direction with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Influence multiple organizations to close experience gaps and invent sustainable solutions for customers.
  • Lead global education and enablement efforts for the customer success management community.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Global Sales and Business Development leadership.
  • Proven track record of consolidating and unifying dispersed teams into a customer-centric organization.
  • Experience in SaaS-based customer success and adoption leadership.
  • Strong business acumen and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive business cases and pricing strategies.
  • Expertise in leading large, complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Ability to translate high-level strategy into execution.

  • Experience in cloud computing and AWS services.
