About the position

The Director of Patient Safety and Clinical Risk Management is responsible for overseeing critical risk management projects, including cybersecurity and changes to reimbursement structures, while maintaining a culture of continuous learning in clinical risk management practices. This role involves implementing new processes to monitor employee and patient safety, directing quality of care complaints, and overseeing infection prevention programs. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a strong background in healthcare management, particularly in acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee critical risk management projects such as cybersecurity and reimbursement structure changes.
• Maintain a culture of continuous learning in clinical risk management practices.
• Implement new processes to monitor employee and patient safety health issues.
• Direct quality of care complaints and review processes.
• Oversee risk management efforts and infection prevention programs.
• Develop new clinical quality improvement programs.
• Utilize data to monitor and improve performance of safety programs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of healthcare leadership experience in clinical risk management/patient safety.
• 2+ years of experience managing operational or project budgets.
• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience in healthcare.
• Strong experience in an acute care large hospital environment.
• CPHRM and TeamSTEPPS certification (highly preferred).
• RN License or 5+ years of experience as a Director of Clinical Risk Management.
