About the position

The Director of Payment Operations at Robert Half is a pivotal role within a long-standing financial institution that boasts nearly $10 billion in assets. This position is designed for a seasoned professional who will oversee the Payment Operations department, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and successful audits. The Director will be responsible for developing and managing payment strategies across various channels, including ACH, wire transfers, and mobile deposits. This role requires a strategic mindset to enhance service quality and drive growth while managing member account processes, including deposits, payments, and legal adjustments. In addition to overseeing payment operations, the Director will plan and manage money movement strategies in collaboration with project management and technology teams. This includes overseeing system implementations, enhancements, and risk management. The Director will also lead product development from ideation to launch, focusing on improving operational efficiency and implementing new procedures to boost productivity and service delivery. Staying updated on regulations and industry trends is crucial, as is managing budgeting and vendor evaluations. The role also involves coaching team members, building partnerships, and handling escalated member issues. Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage payment strategies across various channels (e.g., ACH, wire transfers, mobile deposits).
  • Handle member account processes including deposits, payments, and legal adjustments.
  • Provide strategic insights to enhance service quality and drive growth.
  • Plan and manage money movement strategies with project management and technology teams.
  • Oversee system implementations, enhancements, and risk management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years in financial services with 5+ years in management.
  • 7+ years managing payment systems (ACH, Wire Transfers, etc.).
  • Knowledge of EFT, NACHA, UCC, Reg E, Reg CC, and Federal Reserve Regulations.
  • AAP (ACH) and/or NCP (Checks) certification preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
