About the position

At Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, Inc. (PPWI), we are dedicated to providing quality, affordable health care services, comprehensive education, and strong advocacy. Serving over 60,000 patients annually across 22 health centers statewide, we are the largest and most trusted reproductive health care provider in Wisconsin. The Director of Philanthropy, Operations plays a crucial role in our fundraising program, overseeing initiatives that generate more than half of our donor revenue each year. This position is based at our Jackson Street Administration Office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is a full-time role requiring 40 hours per week. The Director will lead the operational, financial, and Direct Response functions of the Philanthropy department. This includes managing a team responsible for planning, developing, and implementing policies and procedures related to donation processing, reporting functions, and database management. The Director will also ensure high-level data support for frontline fundraising portfolios, which is essential for the success of our fundraising efforts. In this role, the Director must demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service and the mission, vision, and values of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin. The Director will be responsible for developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships with various constituencies, ensuring that our fundraising efforts are inclusive and effective. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational, financial, and Direct Response functions of the Philanthropy department.
  • Manage a team to plan, develop, and implement policies and procedures related to donation processing and reporting functions.
  • Ensure high-level data support for frontline fundraising portfolios.
  • Direct and supervise the day-to-day operations of the philanthropy office and donor database staff members.
  • Lead the management and execution of reports and data request processes with internal and external clients.
  • Direct trend analysis and provide actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Implement analytical tools and performance management reports for fundraising programs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of multi-channel campaign cultivation and stewardship strategies for donor programs.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure alignment between Raisers Edge and Financial Edge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of equivalent work experience, including management/supervisory experience with a focus on training and development.
  • Proven interpersonal and judgment skills working with diverse identities and backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining relationships with multiple constituencies.
  • Strong analytical skills in prospect research and data association to donor profiles.
  • Expertise in Raiser's Edge and Raiser's Edge NXT, including back-office database functions related to gift processing and data hygiene.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced proficiency in Excel.
