About the position

The Director of Plant Engineering, Strategic Digital Solutions is responsible for providing strategic leadership and technical expertise in plant and process engineering at the Bedford, NH site. This role involves overseeing the design, construction, and optimization of manufacturing facilities and processes, ensuring efficient and compliant operations. The Director will lead the implementation of digital solutions to support engineering lifecycle documents and manage a team of engineers to drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the company's growth objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for plant and process engineering to support company objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Oversee the design and construction of new and updated manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
  • Serve as the global lead for implementing and managing electronic solutions for engineering lifecycle documents.
  • Ensure timely completion of GMP events and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate plant and process engineering activities.
  • Manage and develop the Engineering Quality Management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of people leadership experience in a GMP, ISO, or FDA-regulated environment.
  • Proven ability to drive effective positive change in technical and organizational aspects.
  • Project management experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field (required).
  • Master's degree in business (required).
  • Project Management Professional (preferred).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
