About the position

The Director of Plant Operations and Environmental Services (EVS) is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and leading the overall operations of the Maintenance and EVS Departments at The McAuley Residence. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Catholic Health policies, to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment. The director also leads safety and emergency management programs, participates in budgeting, oversees major projects and renovations, and is a key member of the facility's management team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, develop, and lead the operations of the Maintenance and EVS Departments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Catholic Health policies.
  • Lead safety and emergency management programs for the facility.
  • Participate in the budgeting process.
  • Oversee major projects and renovations.
  • Serve as a member of the facility's management team.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate; Associate of Applied Science preferred.
  • Stationary Engineer license required.
  • Five (5) years supervisory experience in a long-term care, sub-acute, assisted living, or senior housing facility preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in a supervisory, administrative, or managerial capacity required, preferably in a long-term care facility.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Working knowledge of heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes and safety regulations.
